I began my teaching career in 1996 for Durham Public Schools. At Chewning Middle School I was the Assistant Coach for Football, Basketball and Baseball. I did that for 3 years before moving to Daniels. I became the Athletic Director and Softball coach in my second year at Daniels, 2000-2001. In 2015 I will begin my 17th year at Daniels. I love the history and tradition that we have here, 60 years worth. I have held the Athletic Director position for 16 years while coaching softball for 15.

Daniels has been my school home for the last 10 years and I have been boy’s soccer coach for 7 seasons here at DMS. I have also coached CASL Challenge for U-14 boys. My love for the game of soccer began at the age of seven as I played competitive club soccer all thru my primary and middle years and then 4 years of varsity in HS. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play D-III ball at Ripon College in Wisconsin where I was a starter for all 4 of my collegiate seasons.

I am Jessie Francese. I have taught language arts at Daniels for 8 years. I have coached track for six of those years. I took a few years off when I was pregnant with my twin boys and when they were still babies. I missed it and got back to it as soon as I could. Before coaching at Daniels, I worked in Haywood County for 4 years and Buncombe County for a year. I coached track at both of those jobs as well! This is my 13th year teaching and my 11th year coaching track!
